Field Missionary

Can I just copy and paste yesterday’s update? Just kidding! I’m writing this with my eyes half-shut… I’m pretty tired, so if there are grammatical or spelling errors (more than usual), please forgive me.

First, I need to give a shout out to Emily’s mom.  I just wanted to let you know that your daughter is doing a tremendous job here.  She wanted to send you a note too…

There were some significant changes in the line-up today. Most notably, we asked a friend, Cassie, to cook for us today. Cassie has been working here at APNTS for over twenty years doing various jobs. She’s known for her great cooking, and today she didn’t disappoint!

Happy Father’s Day!!!

Today was the team’s first full day in country.  I believe everyone slept okay last night, there wasn’t any complaining of bad beds or sore backs.  Keep in mind that they only had about 5 hours to sleep though before they had to get up for breakfast.

The team is staying in the our newest building on campus, the New Life Mission Center (NLMC). SWID is the first W&W team to stay in the building, and, so far so good….

One of the best “first days” that I’ve had!

Usually the first day is full of starts and stops, getting all of the necessary tools, getting all of the materials, and getting the members in place.  In short, you usually don’t get much accomplished on the project itself.  Well, I would have to say that the team did an exceptional job on the first day.
