We have been busy preparing for the arrival of our first team tomorrow. Westside, our home church in the States, is bring a medical team! I think it’s pretty cool that I’ve been able to host two teams from my home church in one year, a construction team in the Philippines and a medical team in Honduras.
Part of getting ready for the team is checking the vehicles to make sure they are road worthy. While one of our vehicles passed with flying colors, the other vehicle is in need of a great mechanic. The “red van” (an old Ford 16-passenger van) has been leaking transmission fluid for quite some time now. Tom (Tom & Amy Hanes are co-coordinators here) refilled the transmission fluid and took it for a spin. It did pretty well!
