After her father’s passing, missionary Cindy Schmelzenbach remembers a conversation in which her father described how he felt about sending his daughter into the mission halfway around the world.
I headed out today with Cristian to the market. Cristian is a pastor that I met on one of my trips here to Honduras. I think we met in ’08, but I can’t exactly remember. For some reason we just seemed to hit it off, like long lost brothers.
Anyway, Cristian asked me if I wanted to go to the market with him today, so we did.
Heading to the market, I couldn’t help but think about the yummy papusas that we were getting ready to eat. I LOVE papusas! They are a staple here in Honduras.
A man who cannot read or write answered God’s call to preach and plant two churches by having his 7-year-old son read the Bible to him so that he can prepare his sermons.
